Enterprises & private network providers

A mobile network built around your operation.

Connect people, sites and devices with a private mobile network shaped by your applications. Fonetika supplies mobile core software and engineering to connect your radio network, subscriber identities and enterprise systems.

The core connects enterprise radio access to data services. Radio equipment, devices, transport and enterprise applications are external systems; the product mix follows the agreed network design.

Relevant building blocks

Select the functions you need.

These products provide a starting point for design. The final mix follows your operating model and the functions already available in your network.

Access and subscriber identity

Packet LTE provides EPC functions; Packet 5G is the alternative for a 5G core project with its functional scope agreed during design. Identity provides subscriber data and authentication.

Configuration and service discovery

Consider Control for supported network elements. Atlas provides NRF registration and discovery where that function is part of the 5G architecture.

Integration boundaries

Plan the systems around the software.

Identify ownership, interfaces and responsibilities before implementation begins.

Radio, devices and transport

Select and validate the radio access equipment, spectrum arrangements, devices and transport with the parties responsible for those systems.

Enterprise connectivity

Define routing, addressing and access to application networks. Enterprise applications and external policy or charging platforms are scoped as integrations.

Deployment ownership

Compare software on your infrastructure with a hosted deployment. Agree connectivity, operational responsibilities and support for the selected model.

Pilot & acceptance

Agree what the evaluation should demonstrate.

Choose representative scenarios and measurable acceptance criteria for your environment. Targets and test scope are agreed for the project.

Subscriber access

Use agreed test devices to check provisioning, authentication and connection to the selected radio network.

Application traffic

Validate the agreed addressing, APN and traffic-handling scenarios against the applications in the pilot.

Operational handover

Review configuration tasks, recovery scenarios and support responsibilities against project-specific acceptance criteria.

Planning questions

Get the scope right from the start.

Bring your site plan, radio and device choices, application requirements, expected subscriber scale and preferred deployment model.

Does the solution include the radio network?

The Fonetika offering covers core software and engineering. Radio equipment, devices and transport are external parts of the deployment, with integration responsibilities agreed in the project.

Should we start with LTE or 5G?

Start with your applications, available radio equipment, devices and operating requirements. Packet LTE has documented EPC capabilities. A Packet 5G project requires a separate discussion of network functions and integration scope.

Can we run the software on our own infrastructure?

Yes. On-premises software licensing and a hosted subscription are available deployment models. Infrastructure requirements, connectivity and operational ownership are defined for the selected products.
